Hybrids POV
Hey hey! It's ok, your safe now. Oh, who am I? I'm Nix, I am the leader of this camp. We found you in the woods, you where scared. But don't worry, you're safe now. Let me show you around. I made this camp with my twin sister many years ago. When humans took away everything we knew, we weren't just going to give up. We made this place, and soon found more hybrids in need in the forest. So, we made it a sanctuary and help any hybrids we can. The humans can return though, so we always need to keep our eye out. Don't worry, you will fit right in! We have many different jobs to choose from so you can play a part to keep this camp going. We have scouts who go out and look for suspicious activity in the forest. We have guards, who stay within the camp and protect everyone. We have hunters who go out and find food for the camp. We have caretakers, who care for the young hybrids who either where separated from their parents, or are in our care while they are performing their tasks. There are a lot of other jobs, but those are just some. I hope you make this place your home, just like we did.
Humans POV
Ah, you must be the new intern! Haha, that's good. I could use some more help around here. I am Xavier Ackmen, I own this laboratory. I call it Phoenix labs, we focus on the study of hybrids. What are hybrids you ask? Well let me tell you. They have been the pests that have been infesting this world for many years, and my goal is to get them bowing down to our human rule. Of course I got the government backing up my research, and I have to say we have gotten rather far. You see there are some hybrids that are of great interest. They have a special gene that I call the IA gene. This causes a change in their behavior because of an increase in their blood pressure and adrenaline. This mainly happens if they get angry or scared. It causes these hybrids to go full animal, full beast. You can tell they are in this state because of the unnatural yellow color that their eyes gain. Now this brings another question, how do we know a hybrid has this gene? Their hair. Their hair will have a black streak, most of the time on the right side. Now, let me show you this. I have developed a serum that triggers their IA gene, instantly. If we could capture more hybrids with this gene, and hybrids without alike, we could make them finally fall under human rule. Now, lets get to work.
Disclaimer: I just used this to explain the story in an interesting way. This isn't the start of the rp.
Extra details
The hybrids can be pretty much anything in the animal kingdom, but can't be a mix of two animals. Hybrids are born one of two different ways. Either one of or both of the parents are hybrids themselves, or somewhere within two human parent's family line there was a hybrid, and has now been passed to the child (this is very rare though). The IA gene is passed on from parent to child, but is rare also. Hybrids don't have any extra powers like for or mind reading. However, they will have increase instincts depending on the hybrid they are. For example, a cat hybrid would have increase smell, hearing, and be able to see in the dark. Some hybrids may also be faster and or stronger depending on what kind they are.
Side note, this roleplay is going to be separate from my main story. Anything can happen, it doesn't need to follow my main storyline.

Sienna's characters
Nix
Gender: Female
Species: Hybrid wolf
Job: Leader of the hybrid safe haven
Date/Spouse: Jake
Backstory: (Most of this is in the story, but this is the gist of it) Her and her twin sister Stinger were born in a hybrid prison. Their mother and father helped them escape, but at the age of 10 they were separated from their father. They found an abandoned camp in the woods and turned it into a safe haven for hybrids. They have been saving and housing other hybrids ever since.
Stinger
Gender: Female
Species: Hybrid scorpion
Job: Helping around the camp, mainly gathering resources
Date/Spouse: None (May give one later on)
Backstory: Same as Nix
Jake
Gender: Male
Species: Hybrid lion
Job: Lead hunter/Trainer
Date/Spouse: Nix
Backstory: He was one of the rare cases where two human parents gave birth to a hybrid child. His mother and father were disgusted when they saw their child was a hybrid, and they didn’t want him. He was kept at the hospital where he was born for a few days until a man offered to take him in. Since hybrids are not given the same rights as a human baby, they gave him to the man without any background on who he was. He turned out to be the ringleader of a traveling circus that’s main focus was on the unusual. The man raised Jake in horrible conditions, and kept him in a cage for most of his life. There was only one person that treated him with kindness, a trapeze artist that performed in the circus. She would go see him in secret, bringing him food and water. She is the one that gave him his name, since no one wanted to name a freak. She named him after her child that she had lost years before. One day when the circus was about to depart for their next show, the woman overheard the ringleader talking about Jake. He was speaking to some of the other performers, saying horrible things about Jake. He started darkly joking about how he was going to beat Jake until he ‘gets into shape’. The woman couldn’t bear to even think about what they would do to him, so she did something unexpected. She ran to Jake’s cage and unlocked the door! She whispered to him to run into the forest far away. She told him not to stop running until he knew it was safe. He agreed and gave her a warm hug before running into the forest. This leads into what happens in Freedom.
Grace
Gender: Female
Species: Hybrid Hawk
Job: Doctor
Date/Spouse: None
Backstory: She was born in a small town hidden from the rest of the world. A town made entirely of hybrids. Her parents raised her to believe in herself, and to not let anyone tell her what she can and can’t do just because she was a hybrid. She was always interested in medical research, and studied it in her youth. Eventually, she got a job at the small hospital in the town. She loved her job there, she worked hard day and night. That was until the day that humans discovered the town that they were hiding in. Grace was working when the humans attacked, taking many of the hybrids away. Of the hybrids that were taken, where her parents. She tried to save them, but she was shot at by the humans. One bullet grazed her arm and left a large gash in it (resulting in the big scar on her arm that she keeps wrapped up). She dragged herself to a safe place to hide and watched in horror as her parents were taken, and many others along with them. When the dust cleared and the humans left, she realized she was the only one left in the town. Everyone else was taken away. Helpless, she gathered whatever she could from her home and set out into the forest to get away. (Leading to Nix finding her and her staying at the camp.)
Highlight (Blake)
Gender: Female
Species: Human?
Job: Bomb expert?
Date/spouse: Possibly Tyler (hehe)
Backstory: When she was born, her mother was not in a good situation to be taking care of a child. Therefore, she gave her up for adoption when she gave birth to her. As she grew up, no one ever wanted to adopt her because of her high energy and outlandish ideas. She always was fascinated with science, especially explosives. This lead to her getting in trouble many times at the orphanage. It got to the point where even the people in charge of the orphanage started talking about sending her away to somewhere more strict. Little did they know, she overheard them. That night, she packed up her things and snuck out the window. She ran away, not looking back. She lived on the streets by herself, fighting to survive. It got to the point where the only option she was seeing to get food, was breaking into someone’s house. That is what she did, but she got caught and was sent to juvenile prison. With her background of not having any known family, and her living on the streets, this caught the eye of Xavier and he wanted her for an experiment he had in mind. He went to the prison and bailed her out of jail. He then offered her a deal. If she would help him with one of his projects he was working on, he would give her a large sum of money to help her get a better life. Of course she said yes, little did she know what she really signed up for. When they got back to the lab, she changed into a hospital gown and was placed in a glass chamber. He then injected her with a serum and closed the door. She started screaming out in pain from what her body was starting to do. Her muscles grew stronger and her ears started to morph into a point. This serum was starting to turn her into a hybrid. That’s when something went wrong. Her hair started falling out and the morph stopped. As her hair was falling from her head, she punched the glass so hard that the glass in the door shattered and she opened it. Guards tried stopping her, but she was able to push passed them and run out of the lab. She stumbled around the town, slowly loosing all memory of who she was. She felt her head and realized her hair was gone. That’s when she looked over at a nearby dumpster and saw a blue and green wig hanging off of it. She took it and placed it messily on her head. She kept walking and walking until she got to the forest, but she kept walking through that also. She started getting cuts all over her body from the branches scratching against her skin. (Rest in Freedom).
Xavier
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Job: Head scientist and owner of Phoenix Labs
Date/Spouse: Martha
Backstory: Xavier grew up in interesting conditions. His parents ran a secret group that fought for the rights of hybrids. They would help them hide away from humans, housing them until they could find a better place to go. Xavier grew up with hybrids. He would always play with the young ones, and he treated them as equals. Until one day, something horrible happened. There was a bear hybrid with brown hair, but had a streak of black in his hair. He had a very short temper, and eventually tried to leave the house. Xavier’s parents tried to stop him, and he got more and more angry. Then, his eyes turned yellow and he lashed out at Xavier’s parents. He was terrified and ran to hide. He heard screams outside, and growling from the hybrid. He stayed hidden for a long time, too scared to come out. Eventually, authorities came in the house and found Xavier. They covered his eyes as they walked him out of the house. When they brought him to the police station, they told him his parents had died. Hatred grew in his heart, and he began hating hybrids. He jumped from foster home to foster home until he finally grew out of the system. He was always top in his class, his best subject being science. When he got older, he made his own laboratory called, “Phoenix Labs.” Making this business is how he met his wife, Martha (continue her story in her backstory). Xavier thought about the hybrid that killed his parents a lot. The black streak in his hair, and the way his eyes changed as he got angrier. As people started bringing him hybrid subjects, he tried doing things to make them angry to see if it would happen to them, but there was nothing. Then, a hybrid that had the same black streak in their hair was brought in. He did the same thing, and the hybrid's eyes turned yellow and they went crazy. He called this the IA Gene. He became obsessed with hybrids with this gene specifically, and eventually developed a serum that would trigger the gene without the hybrid’s emotions needing to change. Then one day, authorities came to Xavier and informed him that a hunter saw hybrids in the forest, one of them having a streak of black hair. Xavier requested that he go with a group of officers and go find them.
Mara
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Job: Scientist at Phoenix Labs
Date/Spouse: In the future, Jaida's character Silas
Backstory: Mara grew up always interested in science, studying it in collage until she got her degree. Once she graduated, her dream job was working for Phoenix Labs where she can finally learn more about the species she had always been fascinated with, hybrids. Working there was great at first, but she soon realized the darker side to this place. The hybrids undergo horrible tests, and extreme torment. She, at times, had no choice but to take part in putting these tests through. It hurt her so much every time she had to cause pain to the hybrids. One day, she heard news of a child hybrid with the IA gene being transported to the lab in 2 days. She knew the kind of treatment those kind of hybrids go through, and she just couldn't let that happen. So, she worked all night at her home adding new features to a bikers helmet, putting a voice modifier. On the day the hybrid was coming, she put on her helmet and biker suit and broke the hybrid out of the van, helping her escape to the forest. She was never discovered, and none of the people transporting her remembered what happened. She never thought she would have to do that again, but she always kept her helmet and suit tucked away safe just in case. Then, one day, she gets a call of another hybrid with this gene coming to the lab.

Name: Ricarda Age: 23 Gender: Female Human or Hybrid: Jaguar hybrid General looks: Ricarda has a larger and stronger build with a shorter tail than her sister. Her long hair is a darker honey brown color with lighter and darker highlights. Her eyes are a soft golden brown and she has an olive skin tone. Backstory: The two sisters are from State of Amazonas, Brazil. They lived in a small hybrid tribe secluded in the rainforest, the nearest town human town being around 80 miles away. If you could call it a town. They lived in peace, not bothering humans so long as humans didn't bother them. Poachers, however, were a constant exception. The hybrids did what they could to keep them away, and for a while, they had peace despite the danger. However, the poachers never gave up their hunt and eventually found and captured a hybrid. The rest of the tribe went to rescue him, attacking the poachers' camp that night. In the fight, one poacher escaped and alerted others. Soon hunters were stalking through the jungle, seeking out the village of hybrids. The tribe abandoned the village and split into smaller families to find a new place to regroup. Ricarda, Beleza, their parents, and relatives tried to seek help from humans in the closest town. After several run-ins with hunters, sometimes not everyone getting away, they finally made it to the town. The humans there, once tolerant of them, now captured them and handed them over as soon as they got the chance. Their family fought to escape and when there was an opening, their mother grabbed their hands and ran into the jungle as far and as fast as they could. Just twenty miles from the town, their mother died from her wounds, leaving the sisters orphans at 15 and 9. Ricarda was never able to find out what happened to the others, but as she grew older, she began taking her own kind of revenge on the humans, using the jaguars. The humans, even poachers, steadily grew to fear the two cat sisters, the fear spreading as they moved from place to place. Eventually, people became frightened enough that they called special hybrid hunters to find them and take them away. But the hunters were careless. Somewhere, far from their home in Brazil, the two sisters are lost in a forest near the wreck of a transport van. Personality: Ricarda has never really let go of what happened. It has shaped her to the point where she only associates with her sister, and her jaguar friends. She is quick to lash out, especially to protect her younger sister. She is slightly more trusting of other hybrids, but that isn't really saying much.
Name: Beleza Age: 17 Gender: Female Human or Hybrid: Leopard hybrid General looks: Beleza has a thinner, more agile build with the same olive skin, but her hair is lighter and a little shorter than mid-back. Her eyes are green and her tail is longer. Short backstory: Too much trauma for a 9 year old to handle, and probably too much to grow up with. Personality: Beleza is more cheery than her sister and not as likely to instantly attack. She somehow managed to keep her innocent and sweet nature despite the things she has gone though, but her playfulness can subtly turn dangerous if she realizes a threat. She enjoys making new friends, especially if it annoys her sister, but never gets too close for fear they will go away or turn on her like everyone else.
Name: Rambur Age: 22 Gender: Male Human or Hybrid: Damselfly General looks: Rambur is rather short, only standing at 5'2. He has bluish-green eyes and platinum or ash blonde hair. His wings are long and mostly clear with some darker spots and a little iridescence to them. He usually keeps them hidden in a cape that drags behind him. They are, after all, longer than he is tall... His antennas are small and barely protrude through his hair. Short desc: His parents died soon after he was born and he was raised by other hybrids in a hybrid town. The town was raided and destroyed by humans, leading him to have to learn to survive on his own.
Name: Silas (Mattais) Age: 32 Gender: Male Human or Hybrid: Black Mamba (IA Gene) General looks: Naturally fairer skin, but often mildly tanned. His hair is naturally dark, which helps in hiding the black. His fangs replace his upper canines and are about the same size as normal canines. His tail is not overly noticeable since it is small and he is able to hide it. What is harder to hide are the scales scattered across his body, at a distance or without really looking at them, they appear to merely be tattoos. Like the ones he has to hide the fact he has scales. He also carries small vials where ever he goes. 'Short' Backstory: Mattais was born to a hybrid and a human. His hybrid parent was a frog hybrid who was able to stay hidden among humans. His parents soon found out about his IA gene and the type of hybrid he was. An incident that required them to quietly and quickly move away. They did their best in training him to control his emotions as he grew, homeschooling him until they were sure he had it under control. He started going to school among humans when he was 13 years old and had very few incidents, many of which were only brief and mostly inconspicuous, besides landing him in detention. At the age of 15, he started getting tattoos to hide the fact that his scales were real scales. At 17, he graduated early and began pursuing college classes from a university nearby. This was also the year everything changed. Very steadily, rumors began circulating around the family. Surprisingly, these rumors targeted his father who was a frog hybrid. One day while he was on his way home from his classes, he saw a strange car parked outside his house. Inside were people armed with weapons and a scientist. They were trying to convince his father to come willingly, but he refused. They started yelling, then one man raised his gun and fired. Mattais shouted at them, his eyes slitting and going yellow as he charged at the people. They didn't have time to react as they hadn't noticed him enter. By time they understood what was happening, two of them had been envenomated and the scientist shouted at them adamantly not to harm him. He didn't have the same plan for them. That night, he and his mother packed what they could and left, not even having time to bury his father. Soon the house would be swarming with hybrid hunters and police. They resorted to living with hybrids. Many of the groups were suspicious and his mother often had to wear make-up and fake animal features to better blend in. Each time they were close to being discovered, they moved on. Sometimes they met hybrids who were friendly to humans, or humans who would take them in for a time. After three years on the run, they slipped up. A group of hybrids that hated humans lived in the encampment they were staying in. The group found out that his mother was human and confronted them. He tried to keep calm and reason with them, but then they started pushing and shoving him and his mother. He snapped, lashing out at them until a muffled cry broke him out of it. They took advantage of his distraction and captured him, then killed his mother. That is when everything fell apart. He blacked out and when he regained consciousness, everyone was gone. After that, he began to hate hybrids and humans for killing his parents. He went back to finish college while also working for whoever would pay him. After earning his degree, he worked part time in a laboratory and spent the rest of his time as a bounty hunter. Steadily, he fell in love with a woman at the lab and asked her out. They dated for several months before he decided to finally tell her who he really was. He took her out for a walk in the nearby forest and asked if she trusted him, if she would trust him if he wasn’t entirely who she thought he was. After a long moment, she said she trusted him and he told her. She didn’t believe him until he showed her his scales. She smiled at him and told him it didn’t matter, nothing did anymore. Then people came out from behind the trees, humans and hybrids armed. She told him that she was a spy for an organization of humans and hybrids who saw him as a threat to peace. She somehow knew of things he had done, those he had killed. He was in shock, not sure what to believe. He asked her if she actually loved him and she laughed. His resolve and calm began to crumble and his eyes flickered, startling those around him. They hadn’t known about his IA gene, they began to back away, afraid, but that only fueled his anger and hurt. For the first time since his mother’s death, he lost control. The next week, he had quit his job and was tending to a few bullet wounds at home when the news brought up a new story. Four hybrids and five humans found dead in the forest. The story they gave was a field operation involving snakes gone wrong. When he had come to that night, he had moved the bodies to a known snake hotspot and had buried the weapons. It was at this moment he knew, he could never, would never, trust anyone again. Everyone would pay. He would make sure of it. Personality: Silas doesn't say much, but he pays attention. He dislikes both hybrids and humans with few exceptions. Even so, he will still do work for both sides. His emotions are dulled to the point where he almost just doesn't care. He has lost everything he loved up to now and doesn't believe he has anything left to break, or love. But he can fake it. He can pretend to care, to smile, and he does it quite well.

The sun rises slowly as the birds start chirping. The spring time weather fell over the forest, the wind blowing gently. Nix rose out of her bed, smiling down when she saw Jake still sleeping. She got up and walked out of her hut, looking around the cave to greet the others awake. The cave was large and open, with a wide opening leading out to the forest. There was foliage coming down the sides of the rocks, and a stream of water in the corner of the cave, coming down into a natural pool. The hybrids stayed in huts made with different materials scattered around the forest, and the beds where also made with resources from the forest and animal skins. Nix walked over to Grace, who was just inside the cave. “Good morning. Anything suspicious?” Nix asked, confused why she was out so early. Grace shook her head. “Nope nothing tonight. In fact I haven’t seen any humans coming close at all since we moved camp here. We found a good one with this cave.” Nix smiled and sat down on a large rock next to Grace. “Yeah, hopefully it stays that way.”
Jake opened his eyes as the light shining in from the opening of the cave entered the hut. He felt around the bed on Nix’s side, realizing she was already awake. He sat up and stretched, his lion ears and tail tensing up as he did. He got out of bed and put on his shirt before walking out. He nodded to some of the other hybrids awake as he walked up to Nix and Grace. “Good morning ladies. What are you looking at?”
Nix and Grace immediately started laughing when they saw him. Jake was confused. “What are you laughing at?” Nix walked over and kissed him on the cheek before running her hand through his hair. “Oh nothing, it just looks like a rat decided to make its home in your hair is all.” Jake laughed. "Well it's great I just walked out in front of everyone like this." He said before returning the kiss to his wife.
Stinger woke up, rubbing her eyes as she sat up in her bed. She hadn't fully opened her eyes, but when she did, she saw Highlight there staring at her with a smile. "Ahhh! OH MY GOD HIGHLIGHT!" Highlight started laughing. "Oh that was great! Anyway, morning." She said before walking out. Before she got out far, Stinger jumped onto her and tackled her down. She held her down, the stinger of her scorpion tail hovering over her face. "I told you to stop doing that!"
Nix looked over and saw them. Some of the other hybrids laughed slightly, this not being the first time Highlight has done this. Nix facepalmed. "Are you two serious?" "She scared me when I woke up again!" Stinger said before stepping away from Highlight. "It's funny." Highlight smirked. “Alright enough, both of you.” Grace walked up to them. “You two are acting like children. Well, I guess I expect nothing less from Highlight.” Stinger looked annoyed. “That’s not fair!” Grace shot a glance at her. “Please just- it’s to early for this.”

In the city, a figure in a black half-sleeve shirt and dark pants leaned against the wall of a building, watching people pass by. His arms were crossed over his chest and tattooed with snakes. One snake coiled down each arm and rested its head a couple inches above his wrists. His dark brown hair was trimmed short, barely brushing over the tops of his ears. His eyes were a greyish-brown color and examined each person that walked by.
Ricarda looked around from her vantage in one of the taller trees. Below her, Beleza was comforting a jaguar cub while his mother was out hunting. Looking back up, the jaguar hybrid scanned the top of the canopy. These were not the same trees she was used to and her surroundings were much dryer. None of these scents smelled very familiar to her and... and the forest was quieter. Quiet was never a good sign, she was on edge, seeking out an enemy to blame for all of this. How did they get here? Ricarda looked back down and took in a breath, releasing it to calm herself down so she could think. At the very least, she and her sister were together.
Rambur cleaned the dew from his wings carefully as he tried to stay balanced on the tree branch. It had been a risk to sleep here, but he was almost completely sure he had lost the hunters. He had the advantage with wings, after all, so he should be well ahead of them. And they had no way to know which direction he had gone in.

As the sun rose over the city, Xavier was sitting at his desk. He had gotten no sleep the night before, engulfed in his research. “I’ve done it... I’ve finally done it...” He mumbled to himself while looking down at his laptop. He was watching a security camera footage from the night before. A bat hybrid who has the IA gene was inside a cell. In the video, a pink colored mist filled the cell, and the hybrid started holding his head and struggling. Then, his eyes turned yellow and he lashed out at the glass, trying to attack the scientists on the outside. A smirk grew evilly across Xavier’s face as he watched. Xavier’s smile turned to a frown as he thought of the embarrassing events that transpired at his lab a year before. He didn’t have what he needed then, but he does now. He closed out of the video and went to Hunter’s file. He pulled up his contact and sent him a message, asking him to come to the lab to check up on how his new abilities where working. Though this was true that he wanted to check, he also had a job for him...
The hybrid that was seen in the video, now sat in his normal holding cell. The walls of the lab where white, and the cells where made with reinforced glass so the scientist can look inside, while still keeping the hybrids well contained. The bat hybrid sat in the corner of his cell, facing the wall. The scientists had now attached a collar to him with the serum inside, ready to activate whenever they needed his IA side. He made attempts to get it off, but it was to no avail. He looked down at the floor, defeated.
Once he had sent the message, one of the other scientists came up to him. "Sir, Martha's behavior has been rather strange today. I thought you might want to come see." Xavier rose out of his seat. "Strange how?" The scientist explained. "She hasn't eaten anything yet, and she keeps pacing around the cell." Xavier started walking that way to her cell. Once he got there, he looked inside to see her. His dear wife, accidentally turned hybrid as he tried saving her life just a few months prior. "Has she spoken yet?" He asked the scientist. "No sir, she is still lacking communication capability." Xavier put his hand to the glass. "Oh Martha..."
Meanwhile on a lower level of the lab, more scientists where working with a bald eagle hybrid. She was tall, and muscular. Her wings dragged on the floor behind her, and her hair was as white as snow. She stood in the middle of a large dome shaped room, a bullet proof window at the top for observation and heavy steel door to get in. The scientists nodded to each other as they started the test. Panels opened on the floor of the cell, guns coming out that where loaded with rubber bullets. The hybrid stood at ease, her eyes closed. As the guns loaded, her eyes shot open as she flew up, the guns aiming at her and firing. She weaved through the air, dodging the bullets until she got to an angle the gun could not fire from. She dove down, landing on top of the gun and breaking it. She looked up as the other gun started firing. One hit her, bouncing off her arm and making it bleed. She yelled as she flew up, diving down and breaking that gun as well. She landed, breathing heavy with her fists clenched. She put her hands behind her back at ease and looked up at the scientists. They smiled and lowered the guns. "Dr. Ackmen will be happy. We have come pretty far with her." One of the scientists said. "Yes, but she got hit once. Progress, but not perfection. Let's keep working."

An hour later, the man pushed a tied up hybrid to the ground. The ferret hybrid hissed and struggled against the restraints. His mouth was gagged so he couldn't call for help, but he still tried. The tattooed man ignored the hybrid and waited for that man to come pay him, leaning against the wall in the abandoned building. It had taken him quite a while to track down this one, finally found him hiding in the basement of a bar. Honestly, the hybrid should be grateful, if not for him, the hybrid would have been found and either killed or forced to work down there.
Beleza stroked the cub's fur and let it play with her fingers and tail to keep it quiet. This was the troublemaker of the litter. His two siblings were asleep, but he insisted on playing and calling for his mother. Ricarda didn't want any unnecessary sounds, and it was best the cub learn not to be so vocal anyway. Beleza looked down through the trees for any sign that the mother would return. Neither she nor her sister liked the idea, but everyone needed food, and the cubs needed to learn to hunt. By the looks of this place, however, there probably wouldn't be many peccaries here. She certainly didn't smell any.

The man grunted and lightly kicked the hybrid who was trying to wiggle out of the restraints. "Better have brought someone to keep this one under control. Acts more animal than anything," he said, earning himself a glare from the hybrid.
Ricarda jumped onto another branch and quickly climbed up to see above the leaves again. Everything looked the same and she wasn't sure which way to go. They needed to find a safer place than here. Beleza was on the ground watching the cubs as their mother tried to teach them to hunt the live fawn she had brought back literally kicking and screaming.

“I have others on their way.” He stepped closer to the hybrid, taking out his pen to examine his hair. He lifted up the black streak part in the hybrids hair. “Hmm. Was he always in this state? Even when you found him?”

"He was more sensible when I first found him. That is, until he saw me. Calmed down after a bit, then got riled up again when I dragged him here," the man said, crossing his arms and watching the scientist. He didn't like this as much as other times, but this hybrid had been being a nuisance. If he were smart, the hybrid would have ran off into the woods instead of terrorizing people on the streets. Then again, that was what he was paid to do.
Beleza cautiously stalked through the undergrowth, following the path her sister had indicated to her. Ricarda was moving through the trees ahead, watching for danger and good paths. They had decided to search the area for a safer place to stay than the vehicle that had brought them here. She would have preferred they head along the edge of the forest and find something with access to the meadow, but Ricarda had insisted it wouldn't be safe. She hadn't said why though, which bothered Beleza a little.
